Design magazines love the reveal: the styled shelves, the perfect light, the finished room. But the part we find most interesting, and the part most people never see, happens long before that.

It's the exposed framing, and the first walk through a space that until now only existed on paper. It's the samples taped to a wall, the problem nobody saw coming and the solution we're proud of. We call it the messy middle.

Why show the mess?

Because it's where the real design happens. Every finished home is the result of hundreds of decisions, conversations and small course corrections along the way. Sharing that process shows what it actually takes to bring a home to life, and why the details matter.

It's also honest. Building a custom home is never a straight line, and there's something reassuring about seeing that the path to a beautiful result can be a little chaotic.
