RANCH ESCAPE. This project sits in the foothills, just ten minutes northwest of Ghost Lake. It is a beautifully designed ranch house with an equally amazing view of the mountains in Banff National Park. It is designed to take advantage of these views with 180 degrees of floor to ceiling windows and an open floor concept. The style of the ranch house combines rustic qualities inherent to its location, with the beautifully clean lines of modern architecture...

TRANQUILITY. This house was designed with a family in mind. The kitchen was opened to the garden with large windows and easy access to the outdoors in order to supervise children at play. The open floor plan creates the opportunity to manage “clutter” and allows all family members to move freely through the space. The integration of walnut detailing around the cabinetry and the introduction of wood furniture warms the space and integrates it well as juxtaposed against the clean white cabinetry.

MID CENTURY BUNGALOW. This 1960s bungalow was redeveloped in a way that respected its era: The mid century style of the house with large windows and vaulted ceilings was maintained, while the function of the house was modified to satisfy the needs and expectations of today’s world. The living spaces were opened up and some essential areas were added: a mudroom and an attached garage. The house is finished with the perfect balance of natural light, clean lines in the millwork and an organic, natural floor to create a home that is simple, elegant and yet has a strong sense of warmth and comfort.

ELEGANCE. This home was redeveloped to create pleasing spaces for entertaining as well as to maximize enjoyable private moments in the life of a busy executive couple. Many considerations were also made, when redesigning the space, to incorporate a significant art collection. The original disjointed spaces, which included a small, enclosed dining room, a long, narrow living room and kitchen were opened up and redesigned to create a spacious yet practical open area and a significant feature wall adapted to showcase an art collection. A comfortable and quaint reading space was created to eliminate some of the long narrow spaces on the main floor. Incorporating a walnut floor and white and walnut millwork created warmth in the space while the clean lines complimented the display of art. The spaces were designed to give a sense of elegance yet comfort for the couples day-to-day living while easily allowing for parties of larger groups of family and friends.
